Arrival at “Quinta do Barrieiro”, in the Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede. We will visit “Parque das Esculturas” by sculptress Maria Leal da Costa. We’ll also visit the sculptress gallery and taste a biological infusion.
Lunch in Marvão, at “Varandas do Alentejo” restaurant: bread, paio, Nisa cheese, olives and Marvão olive oil; tomato soup, potato migas with pork meat and local wine. The dessert is the traditional Sericaia and fruit.
We’ll visit Marvão, a medieval town surrounded by a defensive wall which remains intact, and gives us a splendid view. We’ll also enter the Museum where we’ll learn about the town’s history.
We start the ‘Cooking Class with Art’ by preparing starters, while we taste local wine. As we cook, we’ll learn about Alentejo’s gastronomic history.
